Executive Director – Part-Time, Salaried
Overview
The Central Idaho Mountain Bike Association (CIMBA) seeks a part-time, salaried Executive Director (ED) to lead our growing organization. The ED will be a compelling leader with strong organizational-building skills, general management experience, and a passion for outdoor recreation.
As the key spokesperson for CIMBA, the Executive Director is the visible public representative for mountain biking and trails in Central Idaho. This individual will guide the local mountain biking movement, inspire membership and volunteerism, and foster strong relationships with partners, donors, government agencies, and the outdoor recreation community.
Key Responsibilities
Cultivate and manage strong corporate partnerships and sponsor relationships.
Develop and maintain major donor relationships, securing long-term financial support.
Support marketing efforts for public appearances, community events, and communications.
Advocate for trails locally and regionally through meetings, communications, and grassroots outreach.
Strengthen conservation and recreation partnerships, representing CIMBA at meetings and events.
Lead grant research, writing, and reporting to secure funding for CIMBA’s trail projects and initiatives.
Serve as a positive, inspiring ambassador for mountain biking and sustainable trail development.
Desired Qualifications
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, sponsorship development, and donor relations.
Strong understanding and respect for grassroots advocacy and public land policy.
A passion for mountain biking, outdoor recreation, and trail stewardship.
Ability to work independently while engaging a volunteer-driven community.
Resides in or near Adams or Valley County, Idaho.

Ability to quickly build credibility within the mountain biking community and beyond.

Additional Details
ED must provide their own computer and workspace.
Travel within Central Idaho (primarily Adams and Valley Counties) required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $45,000–$60,000 annually
Schedule: Average of 25 hours per week (heavier in summer, lighter in winter)
